Choose the right Jersey for you.

Custom Jerseys are a big business in the Paintball community right now and for good reason. Custom Jerseys allow your team to express themselves while unifying the team. In the past we were stuck to stock company jerseys with a teams logo's plastered throughout.  A lot of companies, including us at Pbrack offer multiple different cut and sew templates for your custom jersey. Utilizing different materials and layouts for different uses.  Here's a little breakdown that hopefully helps you find what Custom Jersey layout is best for you and your team.

Basic-

Our Basic Jerseys have fully padded arm pads that wrap up and above your elbows giving you maximum arm protection. Our basic jerseys are very durable and are a great entry level jersey and Referee jersey because of their thick arm padding.

PRO Flow-

Our Pro Flow Jerseys are the next step up in our custom tournament style jerseys. They offer similar arm padding as the basic jersey but not quite as thick, giving it a lighter feel yet still very durable and protective. The Pro Flow Jerseys also have padded hand gloves, mesh side panels and back panels for maximum breathability. As well as shoulder and chest padding.  We recommend our Pro Flow jerseys to the very serious tournament player who wants a high performance jersey and for players who play in hot or humid conditions regularly.

Tactical Jersey-

New for 2015 we're very excited to offer our custom Tactical Jersey.  These are suited for the Tactical, Scenario or Woodsball teams and players. These jerseys are offered in 2 materials suited to different players needs, we offer a high durability option which is heavier as well as a lightweight option for hotter climates.  These jerseys feature padded arms and chest zones for maximum protection. Zipper vents on the side come to mesh openings for breathability. Adjustable neckline and wrist cuffs allow this to fit just about any size of player.  Fully customizable to your teams specifications.

Is it possible to improve your skill more by taking a hiatus in the “Off Season” ?

The “Off Season” never ceases to be the most interesting and exciting time during the paintball season. Players and teams are making new arrangements for the upcoming season. The seasons are changing, for us up here in the Northwest it means its about to get cold and wet outside. Some move indoors and continuing playing throughout the winter months, some take a break all together through November-December and start back up again in January or February prepping for the first PSP event that usually begins mid- March.

Do you come in to the New season more prepared by taking a few months off to recover your body, mind and soul? Or is it better preparation to never miss a day at the gym or a weekend at the Paintball field? Taking time to rest your body from the gym (to some extent), having the relief of not having to be at the Paintball field every weekend. Taking some time to reconnect with what you use to have fun with before the crazy hectic Paintball season began. All of this is undoubtedly going to lead to a fresher physical shape and state of mind. I think having that time to reset our bodies and brains is critical in developing ourselves as players for the new year. If you continue to play like you did during the season and keep your gym habits the same you leave no time for reflection. Reflecting on the previous season with a clear head is critical in deciding where we want to be in the future and building a road map of how to get there.

This season my good friend and fellow competitive Paintball player/ Pbrack designer Jacob Stewart and I will embark on a trip through Central and South America. Jacob will be starting at the top of Mexico and working his way through Mexico through the month of November where we will rendezvous in Central America to continue the trip down to the bottom of Chile/Argentina. We are only carrying backpacks on the trip, hiking, hitchhiking, boating, and busing through the trip.

Only this upcoming season will tell if I'm right or not but I think having a productive and unique set of experiences in the off season is conducive to having a good year. This doesn't just apply to the paintball season either. Sabbaticals are becoming common placed in entrepreneurs schedules as well. Thinking back on old video game consoles I remember my Super Nintendo, occasionally you would just have to press the Reset button to keep everything running smooth. Enjoy your reset.

Cheers!

NEW Custom Tactical Jersey Program

We've been avid Tactical and Scenario players at Pbrack for many years and have always noticed that Tactical teams only option for Custom Jerseys is a tournament style jersey.  Tournament style jerseys aren't made to withstand the different types of terrains Big Games and Scenarios go down on. So we took to the drawing board the bring a product catered specifically to the Big Game players out there. To get your team laced in these fresh jerseys shoot us an email at Orders@pbrack.com

Shop Close Up- Axiom Pro Shop

Axiom Sports was started in 2013 with the goal of servicing the British Columbia Paintball scene.  These folks run one of the coolest skate shop style Paintball stores I've ever been to.  Utilizing beautiful wall mount displays, clean lighting, graffiti murals and an overall boutique style shopping experience I can say without a doubt that if more Paintball stores were like Axiom Paintball would have a much cooler rep.  Enjoy!   Check out Axiom at AxiomProShop.com

  • What is an Axiom?
from wikipediaAn axiom, is a premise or starting point of reasoning. As classically conceived, an axiom is a premise so evident as to be accepted as true without controversy. Essentially we are too legit to quit.

I named axiom after a moment in my life. I was sitting on my roof watching the sunrise for the 5
th time that week. I realized that I needed to change my life, and that only I as responsible for how good or shitty it turned out. That was my axiom. Its also a pretty dope song by rancid with an insane bass solo.

  • You guys put a lot of work in to making one of the most un nerdy paintball shops I've seen, what led to this?

Years of working in the paintball industry. I just got fed up with how talk of COD, theoretical zombie takeovers and other nerdy things became the mainstays at paintball shops. When I was a kid hanging out at badlands Vancouver in the 2002-4 era, Paintball was cool. We would talk about music, social issues, parties, and paintball. It was a different kind of community back then, more 18A and less pg13. While I feel that obviously kids are essential to the sport of paintball, we at Axiom are doing everything we can to make It cool again. Paintball is hardcore, and we feel a proshop should reflect the sport it services. Since I have already ran a store in the past, setting up this one was a piece of cake!

  • What would you say are some of the biggest differences in BC Paintball compared to say Cali or the NW?

I would say the numbers… we are severely lacking in participants simply due to the fact that nobody lives here. 3 million people live in BC, which is nothing compared to the paintball meccas of Cali or even the PNW.

  • Your a bit of a Paintball Dinosaur, how would you say BC Paintball has changed in the past 10 years?

Dinosaur, holy crap im getting titles like that now huh? In the past 10 BC paintball has gone from being years behind our US counterparts, to being relatively equal in terms of playing abilities. While we don’t have as many pros, much like the players of Europe have gotten better over the last decade, the same is true with Canada. I’ve also seen the sport come down in cost substantially which has opened up the player market substantially.

  • Where do you think Canadian Paintball as a whole is headed and what do you think it needs to thrive?

I think We are headed towards a truly national league, however there are a few things such as logistics that need to be sorted out first. Canada is very large, thus driving places is not very economically feasible, We need more people to play paintball in all its forms. We also need more Canadian teams to sack it up and travel south to play in the existing big leagues like PSP. When one team goes down south to play, it inspires the rest to organize their own tournament trips.

  • Got anything big coming up that everyone should know about?

More VPL events, Some cool custom gun builds…. Im doing some work with youth and getting involved in several causes near to my heart.

3 workouts to drastically improve your paintball game.

Theres a ton of workouts and exercise regiments you can do to help better hone your body for the competitive paintball scene. Here's a few most people don't get around to that can help you drastically if done correctly.

      1. Box Jumps- Start at a medium- tall level box. Do 4 sets of 6-8 reps resting 1-1.5 mins in between. This is a great interval workout to get your heartbeat moving and also help with your explosive movements.

      1. Goblet jump squats- Get yourself a dumbbell you can easily squat with 30-50 lbs. Hold the weight as pictured, squat and on your way jump up. These are going to help build strength but also your explosive movements.

      1. Single leg box squat- The image best describes this one. Do as many reps as you can on each leg, if your competent in these you can add hold some dumbbells to intensify things. This is really going to improve your overall balance which is going to directly relate to being in crotched positions on the paintball field.

Good Luck

Constantly pushing the envelope.

Pbrack started making paintball gear in 2010. Our first year we made some pretty basic paintball pants but were lucky enough to have them worn by Pro NPPL team (at the time) Vancouver Vendetta. 2010 was our transition from transforming our clothing company in to a performance gear driven brand.

A lot of people think that you can't improve the paintball pant or why would I spend $150+ on paintball pants when I can buy last years model for half the price. The only argument I have for this is I need a job so keep buying them ;) In all reality you could get away with buying last years pants from a discount super store and still be able to play paintball. I think a lot of times people get held up in buying the newest gear before they focus on what really matters, playing paintball. The most effective way to improve your game hands down is practice, practice, practice. Which in paintball costs a good amount of money.

With that in mind, if your a competitive paintball player and are constantly honing and improving your skills you don't want your gear to hold you back. At Pbrack we are all players, and we strive every day to innovate what currently exists and to give our user the most streamlined carefree playing experience possible. We got a few weird looks and some people called us crazy when we originally brought our Flow pant technology to the market. We have also innovated a new style zipper system that no longer bothers your crotch region while playing. All things brought to our products to allow you to play your best game possible. One thing you should consider when buying your paintball gear is what does that company specialize in? Are they a paint or gun manufacturer selling pants with logos plastered all over them? Or was there meticulous thought in every stitch put in to this product?

We'll be down at WCPPL this weekend in Sacramento, CA showing off some of the new gear and helping support the flock of Pbrack teams playing in the event.  WCPPL is one of the few very professionally ran regional leagues with great competition.  You get to see future Pro's to current Pro's guesting on open teams.  If anyone else has a great regional league in their area post up in the comments and we'll try and make it out to an event!

New Pants are in!

Pants landed recently and everyone at Pbrack is pretty stoked to have these bad boys in our hands.  We've really taken last years Flow pants and improved upon our concept to get 1 step closer to the perfect paintball pant.  We added Mesh to the Flow legs to give them more breathability, as well as a new cinch strap that will last much longer than Velcro.  We bulked up our knee pads by adding Kevlar in key impact zones to add to the life span of your knee's.  Beyond that they are the same ole Flow pant with a few modern touches.  Keep your eyes peeled for new color ways coming soon ;)

All in the details

We take a lot of pride at Pbrack in all the detail we put in to our products.  From concept to design and manufacturing, no step is rushed.  Here's some shots of a few of our Custom Jersey projects we've been working on for some teams out of the Philippines, Canada and for our local Throwdown series.
